This is a good book for Miley fans, although most of information in book most fans may already know from reading teen magazines which is loaded with Miley info. And this book sometimes quote directly from the magazines that had stories or interview before. Could use more photos, but again, all those teen mags have alot of photos. Most Miley fans read the teen mags, and this book is for those kids.

We bought this book for our daughter who is a fan of Hannah Montanna. It was definitely a hit and she has had a lot of enjoyment from it.

When I purchased this book, I expected to learn something about Miley that I didn't know, but it just borrowed everything from magazines I've previously read, and talked about the history of Miley's hometown, which was a waste of space. A lot of the information is not even correct. For example, it says that her mom is dead, which has been disproved by Miley herself on numerous accounts. So all I really got from this book was the history of Franklin, Tenessee, Billy Ray Cyrus's life story, and 20 pages of astrological junk.

My daughter LOVES this book. She was so excited when she opened it on Christmas day! She has already read it twice & her sister has read it once. Great purchase!

If I could give this a half star I would. None of it is true, therefore it’s not funny seeing as she’s writing it as if it happened to her. I got about 15 pages in before I’d had enough. It’s SO over the top and stupid that you stop relating and/or caring. I’m sure she’s a funny gal in person but she should stick to twitter.

She's like your crazy girlfriend who is so much fun, until she's not. Until she is just crazy and you stop answering your phone when she calls. I'd love to see her at a party because she is outrageous and funny, but she reeks of danger and sometimes while reading the book, I wanted to put it down and walk away from it lest some of her crazy rubbed off on me.

Really disappointed in this. I read the author's second book first, which was OK but not great. But if I had read this one first I would not have bothered to continue.

Must read. If you love female comics, this is the book for you. It had been awhile since I found a book that I just couldn't put down. Way better than any of Handler or Schumer's books, it's much for like Kaling's book. After this you will be a fan of Jenny, and her refreshing honesty. The best stories are of her German boyfriend, and her allusions (I won't say delusions!) of grandeur about finding a foreign love--I've done this myself and could relate, and also could relate to 98% of everything else she's said or done.

If you were already obsessed with Jenny Mollen like me, you'll be even more obsessed after reading this book. She's hilarious, brutally honest and an amazing writer. Can't wait to read her other book!

I really wanted to like this book, but guess what? I've read it. It's all her blogs from Playboy's Smoking Jacket. Jenny seems like she'd be so much fun to know, but after the eighth story of her narcissism and "quirkiness", mixed in with what a stalker she appears to be, I got over it real quick. Just google her name along with the Smoking a Jacket and you've saved yourself ten bucks.

Hilarious stories, my only complaint is I wish it was longer bc by the end Jenny seems like an old friend I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to

I would not read this book on an airplane, because laughing so hard would probably get me pegged as a troublemaker and arrested when the plane landed and searched for drugs. Yes, it is that funny.

I enjoyed this book, as I am confident that any dog lover would. Each short segment or chapter is written by a different author, who shares their own individual experiences with various dogs they have adopted. Most of these contributions include humor, all of them reflect respect and appreciation for the dogs they've befriended. Some of the associations and reflections are touching, but this is far from being a "sad" or melancholy read....that it definately is not. The chapters are short, each easily readable in 10 or 15 minutes.Anyone who appreciates the special relationship between humans and dogs will enjoy this book. Readers will see many of their own feelings and experiences as they read "Good Dog".

I subscribe to Garden and Gun and Good Dog is the first article I read every month, so I was excited to see and order the book. In the magazine there is always a GREAT cartoon illustration to accompany every article. Unfortunately, they did not make it to the book. That is the only reason I did not give it 5 stars

Purchased for a young grandchild who pick it out. I did not realize it's an adult book which most readers likely already know since it has Garden & Gun in large letters at the bottom of the cover. An adult would have been explaining many terms if I hadn't hidden it after I read it. But I'm thankful grandchild did pick it out and fortunate I read it first. Incredibly moving stories.

As a writer of stories I am always on the look out for good stories. I found it with this book. The stories range from simple to no so simple in the wonderful world of dogs. The stories touch all the emotions as a good story will do. With the world a train wreck during these hard times, the dog always seems to continue to offer a safe and wonderful place to hide from this world we live in. It seems to me that you could easily find some more of these great stories to make a Good Dog part 2. Thanks to the author for bringing these stories together in this book!!!!!

I'm a dog guy. I have a German Shepherd, English Shepherd, and Ridgeback something or other all sleeping with a few feet of me as I write this. A good woman, a good dog, and a good truck make for a good life. Some of these writers understand that, some don't. There is one great joke in this book, some great stories. Worth reading. And no, you will not learn anything new about dogs in this book, just maybe understand your place in dog world a little better.

These are short stories taken straight from "Garden and Gun" magazine. If you love dogs, you'll love this collection of stories all about dogs and previously published in the magazine. Garden and Gun magazine hires top-notch writers to write a dog story for each issue, and these are some of the best. You'll laugh, cry, and maybe even be impressed with the feats of the dogs in these stories. GREAT bed-time book, as each story is only a few pages long. Buy TWO and give one as a gift to your dog loving friend.

More essays than stories, these short pieces are mostly taken from a column in the magazine Garden and Gun. Of course, some are better than others, but all are interesting and are many are quite amusing. There is an emphasis on the South, hunting, and hounds; some of these hounds can actually hunt as the authors explain. Being from the North and a large city, I found something new in this aspect of dogs. I also especially enjoyed the stories of beloved mixed-breed dogs, including pit bulls. A book by dog lovers for dog lovers!

I listened to this book as an audiobook. I enjoyed the stories about dogs and their people.

About the Author

Beatrice Chestnut, PhD MA is a licensed psychotherapist, coach, and business consultant based in San Francisco. She has a PhD in communication studies and an MA in clinical psychology. She is author of the book, The Complete Enneagram: 27 Paths to Greater Self-Knowledge. She served as President of the International Enneagram Association (IEA) from 2006-2007, and in 2008 and 2009 she was founding co-editor of the IEA’s Enneagram Journal. She offers trainings on the Enneagram internationally, focusing on using it as a tool for personal transformation.

Excellent book for all leaders to raise their consciousness and emotional intelligence. It will be most helpful for people who already know their type, or have a strong idea of what their type is. It will help you recognize your strengths, habits and motives and have a better understanding of the same for people around you. I love that it makes the point that we all have unique gifts and there isn't one "best" approach.I highly recommend if you have interest in the Enneagram, or use it in coaching / consulting.

Although I am not a huge fan of using the enneagram as a tool for “typing” in the workplace, I felt that Chestnut did a great job of reassuring readers of her same hesitiations. I felt she did really well reminding readers of the Enneagrams true intent and to not get lost in simply typing ourselves and even using that as a way to coach or critique others upon.

I think I must own just about every Enneagram leadership book ever published, and I have to say that Bea Chestnut’s new book, “The 9 Types of Leadership” is the best one I’ve come across. It’s insightful and thorough, as well as practical and pragmatic. I’m so impressed with it that I’m using it as part of the curriculum for a leadership academy I’m running at my organization. Good job, Bea!
