This was an interesting collection of essays, illustrated, from those connected with motorcycling and especially Harleys over many years. I would have ranked it higher except for one essay that used extensive foul language, and would be the one reason why I would not personally display this on a coffee table -- the only thing that to me marred an otherwise very interesting book.

When our friend took a job with Harley-Davidson I couldn't resist purchasing this as a gift for him. I did not read the book thoroughly myself, but saw that it was a nice collection of history, photographs and stories, and I know that he enjoyed receiving this as a gift.

If you like Harley Davidson motorcycles, you will like this book. It's very interesting and well written. It's a history of motorcycling that covers Harley Davidson and other brands as well. Money well spent.

Got this book to get more information on The Harley and how the development ideas were put together and applied to the new models. Rather fantastic at any rate.

Great stories.

This book is a great collection of articles and stories about harleys and other bikes too! It is very similar to a book called "This Old Harley" which I guessM.B.I. owned the rights as well. Nice Full page color shots of old racing postersand old adverts also, for people into that kind of stuff. Very enjoyable and perfect for that late night read by a warm fireplace !! Highly Recommended !

There is repetition. There are repeated quotes from Newton, a joke about forgetting a food order, the weather, and a long quotation from the tomb of an Anglican Bishop in Westminster Abbey. Having so many repeated quotes is a kind of editorial malpractice.Another weak point: there was a page entitled "Unbelievably dumb" about Secretary Kerry's perhaps accidental ultimatum about Syria's Assad turning over chemical weapons at a time when President Obama was threatening to attack. In fact, this led to an multiparty international agreement which eliminated perhaps 90% of the chemical weapons in Syria, a squeal totally omitted from this book.That said, the book is engaging and inspiring and very easy to read. It has a mix of old jokes and old quotes and inspiring facts about seniors. Between the large type and the short topics, it may be suitable for someone with diminished reading skills. It's fine for a senior with normal skills too.

Not all that big; not much of a book but rather random acts, many with no point in particular, or just typicable common moments for all of us; and really badly written. Other than that, well, I only blew $2 and 15 minutes.

I was not familiar with accounting when I started taking the class and this book was so very helpful. It's a lot of reading, but it's a real step by step guide with a lot of helpful tips and notes printed in margins. I even thought that it was not very neccesary to take a class if you have this textbook and only want to learn the basics. it has it all.

This is an outstanding textbook which is used in basic accounting classes. The class I am taking is an accounting class for non-accounting majors and the textbook is very much written for people like me. Like most textbooks the text is broken into chapters which cover subjects which build on each other. If you have no experience with accounting (I don't) you will find the first 5 chapters which cover the basic principals of accounting and discuss the accounting cycle to be a pretty tough slog. After you get past those chapters things get quite a bit easier, so hang in there. The advantage a user has with this textbook is an incredible abundance of sample problems and plenty of places to work on them. There are also excellent chapter summaries at the end of each chapter which are great for studying for tests. As textbooks go, the price is not totally unreasonable either.NOTE: Unless your class specifically requires them, you really don't need the extra worksheets. As long as you have the text and a reasonably unmarked up book, you can easily get away with a decent used copy of this even if it doesn't come with the extras.

This book is meant to be an introduction to accounting book. It seems a bit more difficult than I excepted. I am taking an online class, and the book does not cover material for the online program. It should help teach not confuse and frustrate. I, along with fellow students, have spent hours trying to figure out the material. Horrible book. I do not recommend it or any class that uses this book.

Came with what was described. What was needed for my sons college accounting class. Comes with the book (which is three holes punched pages, but no binder included) and the code for "myaccountinglab".

Paper is extremely thin but is what I need for school.

Perfect rental, saving 995% because my school does not do buy backs. I will rent all my books from Amazon.

My son loves the Teen Titans Comics. Instead of him buying several comics, we got this for him instead. He loves it. He's 11 and enjoys reading this over and over. We plan on getting him more and we're happy to see that there are actually more to get him! Highly recommend for any child (or adult) who likes the show and likes comics. My 9 year old son likes it as well. The price really isn't terrible either. Better getting it here on Amazon, rather than at a store. Although, I do so love going to comic book stores and so do my kids!

My kids (1st grade & preschool) love the show so I figured I'd try this comic book. I've tried some other Marvel/DC books but this set seems very age appropriate and they enjoy the stories. The younger one will flip through the pages on her own and with context, the older one is able to read all of the words. This is an excellent beginning comic book, especially for little ones who enjoy the show!

My seven year old son loved it. Soon I'm sure dad will be reading it. Love the Teen Titans Go! cartoon and love that my kids like it. It's like the "sophisticated" humor that I liked in old Mad Magazines as a kid.

Beautiful graphics...my son reads often at night with his flashlight.

Silly and fun, a great comic for kids as young as my 7 year old. It is very whacky, and not serious at all and because of all that my 11 year old enjoyed it too.

CV, Pulm, GI, ID,Neuro, Renal etc. The stuff you see everday on the wards is reviewed very well, with signs, symptoms, diagnostic workup and treatment. These chapters are not everything you need to know. I do more reading at night on specific ailments my patients are presenting with. But in the ED when you are accepting a thyroid storm, CVA, GIB, whatever, its there and it will get you through the admission and the evening until morning rounds with the attending.Another great feature is the section that helps to interpret many labs you may order. Elevated, normal or low anything, and it provides a great differential. It can make you look smart on rounds.Finally, there is a short formulary in the back, which I never refer to since I have both pharmacopaeia (spelling?) and epocrates.This book is great for med students and transitional interns. Prelims and categoricals probably can pass on this. I'd say the next step is the little red book put out by Stanford (Standford Internal Medicine pocket guide? Not sure of the name.) It is much more compact, concise, etc. with citations to the literature. But if you are a med student, buy it NOW, before your gen med rotation.Good Luck.

i bought the 4th edition 2 years ago, and i found it to be very useful, not only during wards, or medical school but also for a quick review when preparing the exams for the residency in my country. it has almost all the information you need to move around in hospital. it has also a large number of formulas and tables, not to mention the new "differential diagnosis" section. it will never replace a textbook, but will serve you as a quick reference guide, and a quick subject review. Buy it, you won't regret it !!!

As the other reviews here say, Ferri has a lot of useful content for the wards - Physical exam findings, differential diagnoses, brief & useful info on common medical conditions.But it is too big and does not really fit into pockets. Since I can't have it with me, I don't use it that much.I suggest buying this if you want it use it more for occasional reference, but not so much as a frequent reference on the wards. This book would be very useful if it is in a PDA program.
