This is not a DIET book but a wonderful book for detoxing the body. I went through the whole program and loved it. I am going to turn around and do it again. My daughter-in-law saw such changes in me that she ordered the book and is half way through the program. She did not enjoy it but found she had no energy and her gallbladder started troubling her, again. So I asked her what blood type she is... She is blood type O and I am blood type A. Blood type O [like my husband] are heavy meat/beef eaters and Blood type A enjoy eating more vegetables and chicken/fish. I told her to adjust the program by adding beef. Things are better now. I would recommend this book

I have had this book for 2 weeks now and, while planned to jump in right away, have not started yet. After reading the 1st couple pages, I realized that this truly is a serious commitment for success. The list of "No Thank-yous" is extensive including gluten (bread) and sugar which are currently staples of my daily diet. Because of this, I am a bit nervous about obtaining a successful outcome. I was expecting more detailed recipes but most are smoothies. The spiritual, mental/emotional and physical aspects of the book are brilliant.

I was admittedly skeptical about whether I could make the types of health changes I needed to make to lose weight, reduce health issues and impact the health of my whole family. When I heard about this book I was curious about whether I could make a commitment to 30 days of detox from an eating perspective as well as complete the daily devotionals. Honestly I thought if I couldn't do the food part of the detox that at least the spiritual detox would do me some good. The great news is that I not only completed the daily devotionals which are very thought provoking and biblically sound - but also completed the dietary commitment! During the 30 days, I lost 10 lbs - not because I stopped eating, but because I changed what I was eating. Some of the reviews express concern about the time commitment... I am a career women working full time and was able to complete the detox - you can do it! and it is worth it!! Now - several months later - I am continuing with the changes in eating habits that helped me lose the original 10 lbs plus 2 more.Eating healthy is a choice and this book plus faith and determination makes it possible! I highly recommend it for you and your family.Update - 1 year later:A year ago, I did the The 30-Day Faith Detox and as a result changed many things about how I cook and what we eat. I have not perfectly complied post the 30 days, but I wanted to encourage folks who are trying to improve their health to look at food instead of medications. A year later, my health metrics have improved tremendously - cholesterol from 194 to 140, pre-diabetic to Normal, thyroid - reducing my medication (looking forward to eliminating it under my Dr's care of course). If you are looking for solutions for your Mind, Body, Spirit, check out The 30-Day Faith Detox. We are doing this again now and hope to see continued improvements! -thank you Laura Harris Smith!

Im so excited to get started on The 30-Faith Detox. God's timing is perfect in bringing this into my life. Going to the grocery today so I will be able to start tomorrow. Have read the 1st three chapters so that I will know what I'm getting into. So amazing to find something that includes renewing your mind, cleanse your body and heal my spirit. I've been on every diet out there, lost a bunch of weight but never gotten to the root of my food issues. So looking forward to healing and wholeness.

This is my first time writing a review on any product, therefore this means alot to me. I thank the authors for this book. I am on Day 9 of my detox and so far I am enjoying ' most days'. Realize I get a bit cranky because I can't eat other foods that I love. I have to keep reminding myself that this process is for a good reason. I am being disciplined now which is good. I enjoy the daily devotionals, I have been learning some new things however some are reminders and reinforcement for me. There have been two challenges for me and I hope the author can provide some guidance. 1. I live in the Caribbean and some of the fruits and vegetables are not common. I always wonder if I could substitute what we have in season based on the section colors 2. I have not been fortunate to take time off from work and some days I am unable to prepare the juices. Instead I try to eat the recommended fruits instead. However juicing and eating the amount specified is totally different when you take into consideration the amount to be consumed if you're eating. Apart from that, looking forward to the days ahead. I will update my comments after I complete the 30 days.
