While this is touted as a final volume, I'll be honest in that I can see where this could very easily continue in a spin-off or continuation volume somewhere in the future. Despite some pretty heart-breaking losses to the Hack/Slash team, there's still a lot of potential here for some one-shot volumes along the lines of My First Maniac. There's both some good and bad about this omnibus, though. First my criticisms. I liked this volume as a whole, but I'll be blunt in that at times it felt a little choppy- no pun intended. The continuity is mostly fairly linear, but occasionally it just felt a little choppy and I sometimes felt like the series sacrificed flow in order to put in various cameos and cross-overs. I enjoyed seeing Dr. Vincent Morrow from Witch Doctor show up and I also enjoyed the introduction to a few other series, but at times it just seemed a little too abrupt. Not enough to ruin it, but enough to where you'll notice. This has been a pretty common issue with the series as a whole, although I'll definitely state that the cameos/crossovers were better handled in this volume than they were in previous volumes where they featured the Suicide Girls. People familiar with the series will already be aware of issues like this so it won't really be anything new, but you will probably wonder why they haven't really found a way to better deal with it by now.Other than that, this volume really does have to be one of the best one of the series when it comes to the big finale. I won't state who dies at the end of this, although once you read it you'll figure that this was probably the most likely ending. Not the ending we all probably would have wanted for the characters in question, but this is what honestly feels the most natural. If you've collected the series thus far, you'll definitely want to get this one to finish out your collection. For all its troubles, this really is a fun series and a good volume to have in your horror comics collection.

Well, after issue upon issue, story by story, Hack/Slash has finally come to a close. And boy was it something! I never knew that a comic book would have me on the edge of my seat, but this really did it! The final battle to decide the fate of America was a perfect blend of action, cheese, and drama that you would expect from this series by now. Oh and SPOILER ALERT: some important characters die in this. This is a great omnibus to pick up!

The book/content itself is great, but this particular product arrived damaged. The box it came in had no damage, so I'm assuming it was shipped like that. The front cover was almost torn through in one spot and there was black scrape marks all over the back of the cover. Since it was a gift for my husband and I knew he wouldn't care since the pages weren't damaged, I didn't pursue a replacement. But if this had been for someone else, I wouldn't have been comfortable giving this as a gift in the condition it came in.

The artwork as great with less variation of artists than the pervious ones. I personally love this series and was sad to see it end. Overall it was a great ride with lots of memorable characters from talking dogs to slashers to reanimated dolls just love how they got a large portion of the slashers from movies. Forgot Freddy and Jason though. Cassie Hack and Vlad and the gang are just awesome.

A great read and good fun all around.Through I am rather happy that the Hack/Slash general arc around the black flame society has come to an end.The sideline stories in the B-Movie Jungle and the background of Vlad were some highlights to me.The final confrontation was a bit underwhelming in terms of actions and the final adversary but the intensity of Cassie really pulled the omnibus through.Minor spoiler: "Now cracks a noble heart. Good-night, sweet prince; And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest. "

perfect condition great product thanks

The characters are great and interesting, This finale brings everything to a satisfying end. The artwork in this volume is probably the best in the series. I

Outstanding end to a great series. Wish there was more.
