J F Rogers writes well. From the first paragraph, the reader is drawn in to the fantastic world of Ariboslia. Fast-paced, exciting, poignant, and rich in detail and character development, this book is a keeper. I am amazed at how an entire world can be created from someone's imagination in such rich and vibrant detail. I love a book where there are real heroes, too. Where right and wrong are clearly defined and the heroes live sacrificially with bravery and courage and kindness. All of that is present in Adrift. Well done! Highly recommend book. Adrift and its predecessor, Astray, both set a high bar in the fantasy fiction genre.
Wow! What a lot of twists and turns!Many surprises!This is the second book in the series.I don't usually go for series, but I read the first book "Astray" and it hooked me! Wow! You'll want to read it! and read it first to understand this one.They are both excellent and worth the money!This author does not waste your time with a lot of frivolous descriptions. That's a pet peeve of mine.And, it's a good, clean book!I could have gotten this for free, but I wanted to support the author. She does an excellent job!
The second book in the series is great. It shows the daily struggle as a Christ follower and that we need to thank him in good and bad times. To talk with him all the time not just when we want him to do or fix something for us. J F Rogers haves been given a great talent as a writer. I hope that there are more stories from you glorifying God.
What a fantastic world with some exciting twists and an undercurrent of something deeper. I love the way the author connects our world to the one in the stories. The characters are easy to love and the heroine feels real and honest as she battles terrifying creatures and her own inner turmoil. This a must read series!
This book picked up with the intrigue and just kept me coming back for me. Loved these characters and seeing them progress and develop.
This sequel to Astray is captivating from the start. The tension builds in the very beginning as Fallon awaits her return to Ariboslia. Once she’s there she quickly finds herself in the middle of a war. Also, the plot and pace are addicting. (I couldn’t put it down). The world Rogers created is both fanciful and frightening and the battles fought are both internal and physical. This is a fun read but it will also stir your soul.
If you love this author this is a must read. I volunteered to read an advance copy for an honest review.
