It offers some useful principles in general, but the narrative is very dated.But it was a used book and I didn't pay much for it.
A really great book that covers all the bases for managing volunteers. I am developing a course curriculum and the book is perfect and written by a legit author who know the subject well. I may adopt the book as the course textbook!
My college group and I had to help put a volunteer handbook together for an organization that had just started up. It has several ideas that helped us decided what would needed for the handbook.
lots of info, lots of work if you are the one trying to recruit and manage volunteers, like herding cats, but for a good cause
