This book is an incredibly hopeful, uplifting, yet tragic story. Sarah McBride is a talented writer who provides much needed insight into what it is like to be transgender, and who has given of herself to be an advocate, for her whole life. She allows her own vulnerability to bring others closer to her and to the LGBTQ community as a whole, and the result is the stunning book. I love her, after reading this book. I will be asking everyone I know to read this book.Oh, and Sarah McBride restored my faith in politicians and renewed my hope that some politicians are truly working to make the world a better place for all people. Thank you for that, Sarah McBride. I am impressed at all she has done. I think the politicians she has worked with have been made into better people because of her.

Memoirs are very hit-or-miss for me. This one was definitely a hit. I first learned about Sarah McBride a few years ago when her bathroom selfie in the midst of North Carolina's infamous HB 2 went viral, so I was very interested in her book. I was not disappointed. Sarah gives an overview of her early life, including discovering she was not the same gender she was assigned at birth. She also looks back on getting into activism at an early age, her tragically short marriage to her partner, Andy, and concludes on her experience as the first transgender person to address a national political convention, before giving her stirring final thoughts. Tomorrow Will Be Different is deeply full of empathy, pathos, and inspiration. Recommended for anyone who cares about LGBT equality, as well as as fans of well-written memoirs. Reading it gave me the hope that tomorrow *will* be different.

This book is a poignant memoir from a young transgender woman at the center of the fight for equal rights and dignity for all. Sarah's story intertwines her personal experience coming out as transgender, her political fights, and falling in love with her husband Andy who died just four days after their wedding but not before leaving an indelible mark on the struggle for LGBT rights. Sarah clearly has a gift for storytelling and as an inspiring leader. She has insight beyond her years and the reader is privileged to go on this journey with her.

I could write 1000 pages on Sarah's book, but I will keep it brief in hopes others will jump at the chance to learn and grow from Sarah's journey. Her story is just so intriguing and powerful. I'll never be able to say enough good things about Sarah and her book. She really draws the reader into her story, her childhood to present, with her heartwarming response to life. She does nothing short of making it feel like she is your best friend and she is sitting with you telling you stories that she wants people to know. One of the most powerful parts would be the ending, when Sarah gets hopeful about the future. Something a lot of us have a hard time doing these days, especially in the LGBTQ+ community. She also rips your heart out with the stories of Andy, but yet they are so warm and loving you can't help but smile and cry at the same time. Sarah's story is just so powerful and magical. She exudes so emotion to an already heartfelt journey. I am glad she could share this story with us all. It not only helped me understand her story, but mine as well. Thank you, Sarah. You have helped so many, and continue to do so. I hope this will give many others the strength the I feel from it.

I met Sarah McBride last year when she spoke on a panel that I held. An advocate for equality she has broken down barriers and made history. Her book, ‘Tomorrow Will Be Different’ is authentic, caring and moving. Sarah drew a picture of what it is to be transgender. I am not transgender but deal with them often as I am the founder and CEO STOMP Out Bullying the country’s leading national nonprofit dedicated to changing the culture for all students. It works to reduce and prevent bullying, cyberbullying, and other digital abuse, educates against homophobia, LGBTQ discrimination, racism and hatred, and deters violence in schools, online and in communities, and promotes civility, inclusion and equality. After reading ‘Tomorrow Will Be Different’ I got a better understanding of what the Transgender community goes through and am more knowledgeable in advocating even more for equality and LGBTQ rights. The book is filled with empathy and completely inspirational. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is transgender or transitioning, or anyone who wants to advocate for equality.Ross EllisFounder and CEOSTOMP Out Bullying

I have always considered myself to be a strong ally of the LGBQT community. After all I have a lesbian daughter and a gay grandson. Both of whom are loved, appreciated, respected, and embraced by our whole (large) family. In the 60s my mother became a mail order minister so she could “marry” my dear friend from college and her partner. I had grown up with and continue to be very close friends with a lesbian and her wife of 25 years; but I had a dark secret: I’ve still struggled to reach understanding, compassion and acceptance of the transgender community- I’ve just never been able to “wrap my head around” the entire concept. I heard about Sarah McBride’s book on a podcast called Nancy, and heard her interviewed and although a memoir from a twenty something year old seemed a bit premature, it seemed like something I should read. So, I did. It was so moving, so thoughtful, and so filled with authenticity, that by the end, and through my tears, I realized that this young woman had provided a picture of what it is to be transgender that changed my world view. I highly recommend this book- it will change you too. I have never written a review before, but felt compelled in this case and I’m glad I did. I hope that others will read this book with an open heart and mind.
