I was really hoping this book would get me more familiar with the science, so that I would i know exactly what I was talking about when this issue was being debated, and I was delighted at how extensive the research is on the topic, and how exquisitely crafted the book was in its articulation. Ive already passed this book along to 3 of my closest friends and they loved it as well. BUY THIS BOOK AND SPREAD TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW!
I would highly recommend this book to pretty much anyone. For me, most of it was preaching to the choir, but there is some interesting stuff I didn't already know that was worth finding out about. I found the book slower going than Pinchbeck's more personal books about his psychedelic adventures, but it is insightful. My only critique is not with the content of the book but with the outside of it--the hard cover is kind of sticky.
