You could say, "The Future is Waiting (NOT)" This is a book like Neil deGrasse Tyson's "Astrophysics: for people in a hurry". You can pick it up and read any part of it (and in any order) and be completely engaged. My coffee got cold.
This is a good educational read, taking the not-so-tech savy through a long and interesting journey about the near future with tech. From Blockchain, to Artificial Intelligence, the tech is spot on and it tells a good story, in small, bite sized and well referenced chapters.
This book is a compilation of fascinating, fun to read tidbits about major technological advances that are "coming soon." Enjoyable read, and makes one want even more!
For anyone looking for a well researched and well articulated analysis of current trends and how it will shape the future this is a must read. Broken down into easily digestable vignettes you can almost see the future unfolding in front of you. The Future is Waiting but you shouldn't be.
Interesting insights of how the future might look like. There were some very unexpected findings, written in a catchy, easy to read format. The book describes each topic in a short section and provides many references if someone wants to dig deeper in the subjects, which was very useful for me, as I got interested in a few topics while reading Martin's book, and I could immediately learn more about them.
